Main purpose of the role:

Responsible for delivering, evaluating and monitoring training activities across Plant Operations

Your responsibilities

In conjunction with Managers & HR identify training and development needs within the Plant through job analysis and the performance management process

Work in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation

Support the HRM in monitoring the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets

Ensure all training requests are logged and approved

Monitor the Apprenticeship Levy spend

Build and maintain relationships with external training providers and arrange external training as required

Assess the 'return on investment' of any training or development programme

Monitor and review the progress of trainees through discussion with managers and individuals

Produce training materials for in-house courses

Work with central L&D to promote the use of the European Learning Academy in the delivery of a range of e-learning packages

Ensure that statutory training requirements are met

Evaluate training and development programmes and revise as necessary

Assist line managers in solving specific training problems

keep up to date with recent developments in training

Build and sustain good collaboration with colleagues from other departments to be able to support and initiate continuous improvements

Ensure training records and plans are maintained in line with audit requirements.

Responsible for producing KPI reports to Senior Managers.


Adhere to IAC health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

What are we looking for?

2 –5 years’ experience in a Learning and Development position in a manufacturing environment.

Specific learning and development professional qualification.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.

Team-player with a high level of personal integrity

Ability to work effectively across all functions and all levels within the organisation

Must be able to manage a varied workload of several projects concurrently

Competent and experienced with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team

Effective time management and achievement of deadlines

Accuracy and attention to detail

Understanding of Automotive quality standards including IATF16949 would be desirable
