Reporting to the Electronic Assembly Supervisor, the successful applicants will be responsible to deliver high quality products on time in order to meet demand.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Following assembly instructions
  • Assembling from a sample or drawings
  • Correctly identifying electrical components, component polarity and colour coding of resistors
  • Populating electronic components correctly on a circuit board
  • Being competent in the use of hand soldering equipment
  • Trim and clean boards after soldering
  • Being competent in the use of relevant hand tools and assembly jigs
  • Being competent in the use of relevant test jigs
  • Performing basic fault finding and inspection of boards
  • Should know and understand procedure when assemblies pass and fail
  • Should understand the save operating procedure and emergency procedure in case of emergency
  • Performing basic mechanical assemblies associated with electrical assemblies (i.e. heat sinks, battery chargers, enclosures, PSU)
  • Following standard assembly instructions (i.e. Right tool for the right job at the right workstation)
  • Adhering to general health and safety and housekeeping rules

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Matric
  • Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
