Job Description: Operations Executive

Location: Durban, KZN

Salary: Dependent on Experience 

We’re on the hunt for a hard working, detail-oriented and driven Operations Executive looking to take their career to the next level as an important part of the team in a high growth startup. As a service business, Operations is at the core of what we do. At Zeelo, we are forging a new way of delivering shared transportation and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small team and be exposed to the functions of a fast growing and exciting startup.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Operations manager to arrange and execute all Zeelo services at the highest level
  • Taking ownership of the creation and maintenance of all journeys in our backend system, ensuring that all journeys are built on time and according to plan
  • Working closely with operators to ensure vehicle and driver allocations are provided timeously and are handed over to live operations team accordingly
  • Support the live operations team by providing proposition briefs and regular updates to ensure they are well equipped to manage all live journeys and deliver customer satisfaction excellence
  • Assist the operations manager with meeting all operations KPIs, particularly with regards to Driver App usage
  • Support with the booking and management of supply for new and existing propositions and private hire demands
  • Picking up any day-to-day operational work by taking initiative to ensure the work gets done efficiently and effectively

You should have/be:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an Operational role or similar
  • A university degree or similar form of tertiary education
  • Proactive nature - an ability to take initiative and ‘get the job done’
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, plus a keen eye for detail 
  • Confidence when dealing with external operators, as well as, communicating well with the rest of the team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
