As an Assistant Market Manager, you have the opportunity to be on the forefront of the evolution and growth that the food delivery industry is experiencing. Assistant Market Managers on the front lines of our markets provide input on processes and strategies that allow us to dominate our industry. Each day will bring about new challenges and opportunities at Bite Squad, from day-to-day operations of your market to upward mobility within the company. 

Bite Squad’s Assistant Market Managers are expected to work with the Market Manager to help lead, coach, engage, and retain delivery drivers and restaurants to grow and develop the best possible team in the country. We are looking for a great leader with knowledge of managing and engaging a team, as well as, a data-driven and strategic thinker. You will set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for your given market. Problem solving within a market is crucial as it grows continuously and is ever-changing. You should be an outstanding communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team. 

Essential Functions

  • Recruitment of driver candidates through social media, face to face, ground guerrilla strategies, etc.
  • Manage and organize applicant inquiries. 
  • Interview, hire and train qualified driver candidates through in person, video, or phone meetings. 
  • Complete all paperwork for drivers including verifying I-9 documentation and checking background checks. 
  • Assist the Market Manager in scheduling drivers, audit needed schedule adjustments. 
  • Assist drivers with scheduling requests and maintain availability standards. 
  • Assist drivers with any account issues they may experience. 
  • Manage driver availability, shift, and leave requests. 
  • Complete any administrative tasks regarding payroll, incident reports, terminations, uniforms, etc
  • Responsible for scheduling tablet installs and setting up new restaurant partners with lead drivers
  • Maintain restaurant issue board according to the urgency of issue
  • Work with the Customer Service team to collect driver and restaurant complaints weekly
  •  Complete any office related tasks as they may come up. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Some travel may be needed. Less than 25%
