A great opportunity has arisen in our warm and caring Residential Home at Halcyon Days for a flexible and compassionate Volunteer Activities Coordinator. You’ll assist our activities team to organise and carry out activities with our residents, organise social activities for people who need care and support and support them to take part. This role would suit a candidate who is looking to gain volunteering experience in a care home setting. 

Gold Care Activities Coordinators are known for creating stimulating and varied programmes of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy. You will be required to work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly. To engage the local community into the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups enabling residents to partake/continue with hobbies and interests as desired.
